We Need Your Support!

Kelly’s Working Well Farm & Chagrin Valley School have been engaged in what has turned into a significant conflict with the Bainbridge Township zoning and fire departments. Rather than work with us to come up with a solution, they have chosen to close down all farm buildings and stated that we will not be able to satisfy the requirements to remove the order until we achieve a conditional use permit, thus losing our agricultural designation which is intrinsic to our identity.

Please consider supporting us financially by attending our November 23 Holiday Craft Fair and donating to our GoFundMe campaign below.

In addition, it would be very helpful if public support of the farm and school was made known to all. Letters to the editor of local newspapers, and calls and letters to Bainbridge Township officials, could help to quicken a positive resolution. Click here for more info about this situation!

About Chagrin Valley School

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 school, community center and permaculture farm. Kelly’s Working Well Farm began in 2012 with the goal of creating a place where community members could come to learn about sustainable agriculture, make crafts using natural materials, and connect with animals and nature just minutes away from downtown Chagrin Falls. Summer camps for children have been held at the farm every year since 2013, and in 2016 our school was created. Chagrin Valley School is a full-time self-directed learning school run by student democracy for ages 5-18.

We invite all members of the Northeast Ohio community to participate in our permaculture enterprise by attending our community building events. Attend our family game nights, movie nights, pancake breakfasts, pizza parties, enroll in our summer day camps and/or democratic school, participate in our community vegetable garden, planting trees, join in natural building projects, or just visit with the chickens & goats!
